Founder of Transforming Minds for Business
I am a Life coach, NLP Practitioner and Resilience Practitioner with a passion for helping clients and organisations flourish. Having worked in corporate sales and then founding Transforming Young Minds, I understand the huge impact good mental health has on an individual both professionally and personally. I have personally been touched by the impact of anxiety and stress, and I am able to see through the lens of my clients and inspire them to take the leap towards a happier and healthier life. Wife to Brett, and mum to 2 gorgeous girls, I strive for a happy and contented professional and family life.
I am a registered nutritional therapist and functional medicine practitioner. I have a degree in Nutritional Medicine, which has provided me with a high standard of research-driven training. My degree and extracurricular studying also included naturopathy and functional medicine, giving me an excellent insight into holistic treatments. Nutritional and functional medicine addresses the root cause of health problems and uses natural therapies such as diet, supplements and lifestyle to support the body back to optimum health and wellness.
The gut is considered the second brain, it originates from the same tissue as the brain in the embryo and they remain intricately connected throughout our lives. This intrinsic link between the gut and the brain is called the gut-brain-axis. Research suggests they communicate constantly back and forth in 3 different ways, via messengers in our blood, along the nerves and by the immune system. This close link is being well investigated and there are a growing number of studies providing evidence to suggest a role for improving gut health in managing and even preventing mental health problems. Many of the studies are focusing on the role of the trillions of microbes that call our gut home, the microbiota. Research shows we can augment our microbiota with our diet and lifestyle and this then in turn has a positive impact on our brain and therefore our mental health.
I am a passionate trainer with 15 years of experience of group and one to one training. My job is the love of my life, and I absolutely adore helping clients achieve a happier and healthier life. I show people that they CAN do anything if they put their mind to it – and my job is to help them enjoy the process. Regular exercise has a profound positive impact on mental health, improving stress, sleep, anxiety and overall wellbeing.
I am proud to partner with Transforming Minds for Business, and cannot wait to enable clients to improve their wellbeing and outcomes. Working via zoom or in person where it is possible, we will work together to increase energy levels, improve physical health and overall wellbeing.
